Some `BDSM´ couples are already close to Devotional Sex
Though most FemDom
writing in books and on the Internet is about full-on FemDom, every
once-in-a-while there is a mention of someone practicing FemDom in the
same gentler, less kinky, and more loving and romantic style as it is usually practiced within Devotional Sex.
Just
as most people who enjoy climbing mountains never climb Mount Everest,
most people interested in FemDom never practice FemDom with the very
strong Mistress / submissive
dynamic which is the BDSM ideal.
And
just as most people interested in climbing mountains do not even want
to climb Mount Everest, I believe that most people interested in female
erotic power do not even want to do this according to the BDSM FemDom
ideal.
The gentler and milder FemDom of
Devotional Sex might be very different from the BDSM ideal, but it is,
I believe, where most people interested in female erotic power want to play.
As
the peak of traditional BDSM FemDom is a strong dominant `real´
Mistress (who controls everything) and a `true´ submissive (who
never tops from the bottom), traditional BDSM sees couples who practice mild FemDom as failures.
Of
course there is nothing wrong with those inspired by standard BDSM to
strive to become the best Mistress or submissive that they can. And it
is great that there are so many books and Internet resources that can
assist them in their quest.
But I think it is very wrong that
those who enjoy milder and gentler FemDom are seen by most of the vocal
BDSM community as failures.
Because
milder, gentler FemDom is seen by so many in the BDSM community as not
doing things properly, those who enjoy milder FemDom often feel
pressured to keep quiet on internet BDSM forums.
The resulting lack of discussion about milder
activities leads to the misconception that most into BDSM are all heavy
players.
By recognizing that
Devotional Sex is a different technique, a second rate Mistress (or
submissive) can now think of themselves as a first rate Princess (or
Knight).
This site is a celebration of the joys of being a Princess or a Knight.
Those
who enjoy milder FemDom
will feel very much at home reading most of this site. And those who
are inspired by this site to add the multi-orgasmic man technique will
then get the full benefits and joys of Devotional Sex.
I hope to form a community of people who share my interest in Devotional Sex. You can take part by joining a Devotional Sex group, or you can send me some comments, questions, or real-life experiences to add to this site.
So far, I have not heard of any couple who are practicing full Devotional Sex (that is milder FemDom combined with the Taoist multi-orgasmic man technique).
Whether or not there are such people is the question I raise in the next section of this Chapter.
