Thanks for the new chapters.

I wasn't expecting the ending in chapter 44 but then my youngest was often referred to as Lil the pill because she put pay to my princess and I having some fun on numerous occasions

I hope the author is well and Covid free. It has been so long since the last update.

Is it a plotline issue? Although the book has demonstrated Devotional Sex principles heretofore, there is very little story apart from the curmudgeonly, poor sap husband being dragged slowly into it.

Something else needs to intersect with the current thread. It could be Knight Lending or Princess Hotwifing, a breakdown in one or other of the relationships, a temporary or permanent change of partners, the formation of a poly foursome, or a different theme altogether.

You could of course rewrite it so that it leads with a main storyline in which they are: repo agents, paranormal investigators, TV researchers, documentary film makers, traffic wardens, hacked off teachers, ambulance drivers, research scientists, dog whisperers, relationship coaches, wedding planners, solicitors called 'Divorces R Us' or pest controllers.

Also, the characters could develop more. At the moment, it's frightfully PC. In the experienced couple, the Princess knows it all and hubby gratefully does as he's told. In the nubie couple, she's 'woke' and he's a small minded twat which is a bit clichéd. Is there any possibility of the women being anything less than perfect or of the men being anything more than twats? The story would then be more believable and more possibilities would arise.

Hope that helps. :)

Thanks for the feedback.

The main bottleneck for ages has been me not editing and publishing the chapters I've got but not yet done. The Villa story was written with the idea that there would be very little editing, and as a break from the main story, and so I got that out fast. And then Scott posted his Affirmation story into the forum so I didn't delay things at all.

I would love to one day see a movie, or a book, where it's a normal entertainment except that the couple do Devotional Sex. So it's part of their lifestyle and normal for them. Of course the challenge for doing this in a book is that a normal book needs to be written (into which the DevS enhances some scenes).

I've got back into website work. Apart from some writing which has not yet been finished, I've moved the Photo Blog to a different host. And I'm not spending a few hours each day on getting the photos sorted by categories. I'm doing this first because over half the visitors to the website quickly go to the Photo Blog page.

Scott may respond to your post as well. He doesn't post much, so let's see.

The aim of this novel is to stick largely to vanilla activities so that people understand Devotional Sex isn't about having to do kinky things or involving others. Other storylines give the Devotional Sex version of non vanilla things.

Having said that I take onboard your comments about the characters and pace of the story, so yes it does help. :)

Thank you for being a fan.

Life has been busier over the past couple of years which means I haven't done any writing. Also I have lost the plot :!: I have lost my faith in moving things forward.

I did, however, take a swing at revising the plot, now all I need to do is find time to write.

Hope people are enjoying the new version of the novel.

Happily I'm in a place where I've got a fairly regular opportunity to write, so the chapters are flowing at the moment and a clearer plan for how things will develop so I'm hoping I'll get to the end much, much quicker.
