Devotional
Sex for Loving Couples - A Novel
Chapter
1 - Will
Sarah pats the front of my pants.
She gives me a quick kiss. ‘Come on, let’s get
inside.’
We get out of the car and walk hand in hand to our favorite Italian
restaurant. The host greets us and asks us to wait for a few minutes
while our table is prepared.
‘Can I suggest we have a glass of wine this evening rather than a
whole bottle?’ Sarah says.
‘OK, if you think that would be better.’ I really
don’t mind, and as I’m driving I will only have a glass
anyway. However, I sense there is more to her suggestion than thinking
about saving money or drink driving. The sparkle in her eye gives me
the clue.
‘I’m just thinking ahead, that we might fancy having some
fun after dinner.’ I thought as much. She continues, ‘And
I’ve got a bottle of champagne at home to celebrate our
anniversary.’
‘In that case a glass of wine it is.’
The host returns, ‘Madam, sir, your table is ready.’ He
escorts us to a table towards the rear of the restaurant. It’s an
area with only one other couple nearby. ‘Will this be
acceptable?’
‘Yes. Thank you.’ I say. It’s ideal, I asked for
somewhere quiet so that we would be able to talk over dinner. I move
the chair for Sarah and assist her as she sits. I take my seat
opposite. We may have been married for 20 years, but I like to do these
little gestures for her. It helps keep things romantic.
‘Well my lovely man, can you believe it’s been six years
already?’ Sarah begins.
‘Six wonderful years, my darling. Time flies when you are having
fun!’ A grin spreads across my face.
We each wear a gold ring with a red garnet stone on our little finger.
I take mine off and place it on the table in front of me. Sarah removes
hers and places it next to mine.
‘Should we continue with this?’ Sarah asks.
Before I get chance to reply the waiter arrives. ‘Your menu
madam, sir. Can I get you something to drink?’
‘I’ll have a glass of white wine please.’ Sarah says.
‘Glass of red for me. And some water as well please.’
‘Very good.’ The waiter withdraws.
‘Should we continue?’ I repeat Sarah’s question then
pause as if considering my options. ‘Let me think about this. We
have an amazing love life. It has been so much more active over the
last six years.’
‘I agree it truly is a wonderful love life we have. We have grown
so much closer during these last years.’ Sarah reaches out and
holds my hand in hers.
‘I remember thinking how beautiful you were when we first met,
but then I stopped noticing and took you and your beauty for granted.
That is until we changed our relationship.’ I give her hand an
affectionate squeeze.
The waiter returns with our drinks. ‘Are you ready to
order?’ We look at each other and instinctively know we’re
ready.
‘Can I have the tagliatelle carbonara please.’ Sarah asks.
‘I’ll have the sirloin please, medium with fries.’
‘Certainly.’ The waiter retrieves our menus and leaves.
‘I love how much more you tell me about being so beautiful. It
makes me feels so special. It makes me enjoy being around you.’
Sarah says. ‘You are such a considerate lover as well. I get all
the affection and romance I could possibly want.’
‘You are beautiful and I find giving you affection and romance
highly arousing.’ This conversation is having an effect in my
pants as we speak.
‘That, my darling, is often very evident, especially when
you’re naked!’
‘Which is another thing I delight in - being so aroused so much
of the time.’ I think about how much more energy I normally have.
‘You make me rise so easily.’ Sarah slides her finger along
mine and her touch heads straight for my groin.
‘Thanks for that demonstration.’ I say, smiling, ‘All
the little times you keep arousing me, turning me on are something I so
adore.’
‘It’s fun and a pleasure to give you so much enjoyment. I
love watching you rise up.’ Sarah takes a sip of wine,
‘What I need to confirm is that you are still happy in every
respect of how this all works.’
Our food arrives, the waiter placing our plates down in front of us,
‘Is everything OK?’
‘Everything is most definitely OK.’ I answer him whilst
looking straight into the eyes of my princess. The waiter, happy
he’s done his job for now, leaves us to eat.
‘Are you sure?’
I take a sip of wine, smile and say, ‘Certainly. 100%.
Absolutely. Yes.’
‘You devoted to me and I to you.’
‘Pure devotion.’ I add as I pick up my ring and slip it
back onto my finger.
‘Devoted.’ Sarah adds as she places her ring back on her
little finger.
We eat our dinner and make lots of small talk about our day. Sarah
tells me about her conversation with Christopher, our eldest boy,
today. He’s thinking about applying for a new job. We discuss his
situation but the decision will be his to make.
The waiter returns to clear our empty plates. ‘Would you like
some dessert?’
‘No thanks, just the bill.’ Sarah answers for us.
‘We’re having dessert when we get home.’
