Devotional Sex Title

Devotional Sex for Loving Couples - A Novel

Chapter 39 - Will

Sarah and I are out shopping as she wants some new clothes.

We turn into the next shop, a lingerie shop - my favorite type of female clothes shop. We browse some different styles as I imagine how Sarah will look in each set. I love that she wants to give me pleasure by dressing in beautiful lingerie.

Unfortunately we leave on this occasion without buying anything.

As we enter the next shop Sarah suddenly sees Kali and heads over to embrace her. I follow over. We all exchange greetings, a hearty handshake between Adam and I, and then I make Tracey smile by pulling a funny face.

Adam is not smiling at all. He is the classic male out shopping with his female partner, bored, wishing he was anywhere except shopping.

I feel for him. He doesn’t enjoy this process, he doesn’t understand why she can’t just find what she is looking for, buy it and go home.

I was once like that. I could not get my head around the concept of her looking through all the pants and skirts when she wanted a new top. If I want a pair of jeans I don’t look through the shirts.

I get it a bit more now. This is an enjoyable experience for her, looking at all the possibilities, seeing what takes her fancy, not just a function of 'I need a  ... '

If it’s for me it tends to be the first thing that looks OK and fits, but now I quite enjoy sharing in investigating the options for Sarah. And it means we spend more time together. But now Adam needs to be saved.

‘How about Adam and I go for a coffee and leave you girls to shop in peace?’ I suggest.

This should be a win for everyone. Kali won’t be annoyed with Adam’s impatience, Adam won’t be dragged round the stores, and it gives the two women a chance to talk.

'Great idea,’ Sarah says and Kali nods in approval.

Adam and I leave the girls and we find a coffee shop. We order drinks and sit down.

‘How’s life?’ I ask.

‘Hard bloody work.’

I don’t rush to say anything, before asking, ‘Really?’

‘Yeah. Work is busy and Kali is being ... is being ... weird.’

‘Kali is being weird?’ I ask, thinking it’s an odd word to use.

‘Yes. She wants to ... Look I hardly know you. I can’t ...’

‘OK. No need to talk about things if you don't want to,' I reply as I pick up my coffee.

However, whilst I’m happy to simply sit and have a drink, Adam is clearly anxious about something. Still he isn’t the sort to gush forth with emotions. And, as he says, we hardly know each other.

We sit and say little to each other as the minutes tick by.

‘I don’t know you very well,’ Adam says from nowhere, ''Can I tell you something peronsal? But first you have to promise not to tell anyone else, not even Sarah.’

‘You can trust me not to tell anyone,' I reply. 'Have you committed a crime, murdered someone?’ As soon as I say this I realize that I've been watching too much TV. Adam's problem is likely to be something much more normal.

‘I wish' he sighs, 'it would be much easier if I had killed someone. At least it would be straightforward. But no, this isn't anything the police would be interested in..’

‘OK then, but I suspect Kali and Sarah talk about everything anyway.’

‘Fuck. What has Sarah said about me?’

‘Only that you and Kali are having some problems.’

‘Bloody woman. I need to go.’ He gets up, but I put my hand up to stop him leaving.

‘Go if you want to. But having someone to talk to might be a help. Kali has Sarah, who do you have? You never know, I might be able to help.'

He stops trying to leave, but doesn’t sit back down, obviously pondering what to do.

Adam and Kali are unlikely to sort their relationship out if they don’t talk to each other. And Adam probably needs to work some things out before that conversation can happen. I genuinely want to help him.

‘You won’t understand and you’ll probably call me a pervert,’ he says.

‘Try me,’ I say. ‘Anyway I like a good perverted story.’

‘Piss off,’ he says and sits back down. ‘You can’t tell anyone, understand?’

‘Understood.’

‘Kali has got this new thing in her head.’ He leans in closer, ‘She wants more sex.’

‘And that’s your problem?’

‘No you idiot,’ he replies. ‘Well ... yes, sort of.  It’s the way she wants us to have sex. She won’t ... I have to... '

‘Keep your socks on?’ I flippantly suggest.

‘No.’

‘Take your socks off?’

‘Shut up, it’s nothing as simple. She says I have to wait.’

‘Wait? Wait for what? Wait to have sex? But you said that she wants more?’

‘I have to wait to cum. She says I have to wait until she tells me I can cum. Not all the time.’

He then adds quickly ‘Just some of the time, it makes her happy.’ He says the last words in quotes.

‘Oh,’ I say, suddenly realizing he has been introduced to the world of Devotional Sex.

‘Is that it? You’ve got nothing more to say? Thanks for your support.’

'Sorry, I've actually got lots I can say. That's because it sounds like Kali is wanting to do what Sarah and I practice.'

Adam looks shocked and confused.

‘Has she,’ I continue, ‘talked about Devotional Sex?’

His expression changes to anger. ‘What the fuck?’

‘Before you explode, do Sarah and I look happy to you? Do we look like we enjoy each other?’

‘I guess. What I’ve seen of the two of you, you’re like a pair of love sick teenagers.’

‘And I guess there is a lot of tension between you and Kali in the house, arguments and so forth. Do you enjoy all that?’

‘You’re in favor of this stupid shit?’

‘I wouldn’t use those words, but yes.’

‘And to think I was worried you’d think I was a pervert.’

Our conversation comes to an abrupt end. Adam drains the end of his coffee, takes out his phone and calls Kali.

‘Kali, we need to be heading home. Now!,’ he says and hangs up.

I realize that Adam had forgotten to arrange a place to meet Kali, so I call Sarah.

‘Where shall I meet you?’ I ask. My tone is much lighter than Adam’s.

We head to the meeting place and I see that the girls are already there waiting for us.

I greet Sarah with a kiss and another funny face for Tracey. I smile weakly at Kali worried that I may have made things worse for her.

‘Come on, let’s go,’ Adam says without greeting the girls or saying farewell to Sarah or me.

As they walk away Sarah looks questioningly at me.

‘Our conversation did not go well,’ I say. 'It seems that Kali has
been experimenting with Devotional Sex, and Adam is very confused about it all. He doesn't seem to understand why this can be good for him. I can't say anymore as I promised Adam I wouldn't tell anyone about our conversation.'

‘O dear,’ Sarah replies. ‘I know you’ve just had a coffee but I need a sit down and a drink.’
