December 5 - Photos by Category
The new Photos by Category is launched!
Unfortunately I have had to create this from scratch, and so at the
moment there are not many photos included. Over time I hope to add
many, many more.
There are many more categories than before, which will make this more useful.
Each category now starts with a description of how Devotional Sex works
for that activity. This may be annoying for those who go to just look
at the photos, but I hope the text educates a few who would otherwise
miss the reason I created this photo-blog
I welcome any comments or feedback on the photos by category HERE at the forum.
December 1 - A donation!
Though
my surveys prove that many couples are enjoying Devotional Sex, few
donate. So whenever I receive a donation it is an unexpected surprise.
Thus a big thank you to the reader who today donated US$150.
What is most pleasing is that this proves that he sees the value of the website, and thus I'm changing lives for the better.
If his generosity inspires you please visit my Please Donate page.
November 18 - New Photo Blog
Today I have edited the Photo-Blog page to direct readers to the backup of my old Tumbr at 2mblr.com
A major advantage of this is that it has no advertising!
Initially the copy at BDSMLR.com had more functionality, including all
the tagging which enabled the view photos by category. But BDSMLR has
had two server problems, the last which left lots of photos missing
from the early pages, and the first which restored the photos but with
the wrong tagging.
Also many fans of Devotional Sex found the advertising extreme and distasteful.
2mblr has much less functionality, but it is ad free.
Over time I'll build up a new list of photos of each category (eg photos of Affirmation).
For fans of the BDSMLR website the photo blog is still there. If 2mblr ever vanishes then BDSMLR may be all that I have.
I welcome any comments or feedback on this move HERE at the forum.
November 12 - Quiet but not dead:
As this page shows, I've not been updating this website much this year.
One reason for this is that without Tumblr the new visitors to the
website dropped off significantly, and it is difficult to maintain the
enthusiasm to spend hours writing when few read it.
I'm still trying to think of new ways to generate more interest.
But in the meantime I know that many readers are still continuing to
practice Devotional Sex, some of you will have told friends about this,
and a few will have discovered the website over the last year.
There are two ways you can still engage with the website - the forum and the surveys:
The Devotional Sex Forum:
The forum is still getting new posts. You can see them HERE
It would be wonderful to get some new activity and to have some new members. See HERE for how to register.
The Devotional Sex Surveys:
Though few people join the forum, many people who practice Devotional Sex are happy to fill out my anonymous surveys.
Doing so is a great way of letting me know that it is worth continuing
with this website, and letting others know that Devotional Sex is
enjoyed by many people.
And let's face it, I'm sure that I'm not the only one who finds it
arousing to read how couples are enjoying their Devotional Sex.
So if you are practicing Devotional Sex it would be wonderful if you filled in one or more surveys.
See this page for the surveys (and to read some of the results so far).
Please only do each survey once per couple. So if you have already done a survey please do not fill it out again.
When I get a reply I'll post an easy to read summary of that reply in
the website. I'll provide a link to this once I get a new survey
response.
So please become part of getting this website running again - be it via the forum, the surveys, or both.
Over to you.
March 19 - Sex in the days of THE VIRUS:
Can I have sex? A guide to intimacy during the coronavirus outbreak, from The Guardian, includes:
So is it OK to have sex?
Dr Justman: If you or your partner is a Covid-19 case,
the advice is to steer clear of each other as much as possible. In
fact, the New York City department of health has guidelines on this. If
you’re a possible or confirmed case you should isolate yourself,
ideally in a private residence until seven days after the illness
began. You need to have had no fever for 72 hours, without using
ibuprofen or anything that would mask your fever, and your respiratory
symptoms should be improving.
Dr Julia Marcus: But for people who don’t have symptoms and don’t have any recent likely exposure
and have been staying close to home, I think that, if it’s within
your own household, it’s a different story. If you live with a
regular sexual partner and you don’t have any symptoms, or likely
exposure, sex might actually be a really great way to have fun, stay
connected and relieve anxiety during this potentially stressful time.
If you are isolating at home this is a great time to read this website and forum.
And if you are both healthy you now have plenty of time to explore and
enjoy Devotional Sex. Not only is this lots of erotic fun, it will
increase intimacy and connection, and thus help maintain your
relationship in these difficult times.
As well as enjoying lots of intimate time in bed, remember that Affirmation is a lovely way to celebrate the devotional dynamic in the rest of the house (assuming that you have the privacy).
March 15 - The Vacation - a short Novel:
The Vacation is a new short novel by Scott Chapman.
This tells the story of a couple who practice Devotional Sex enjoying a
two week holiday at a villa with some 'very close' friends.
The novel includes sexual activity in front of and with others. So if
this is not to your taste please skip this story. Otherwise click the
heading above to read The Vacation.
Note that The Vacation is not related to the novel Devotional Sex for Loving Couples. It has different characters in a very different setting.
It is hoped that further chapters of the longer novel will be published soon.
January to March - A very slow start to the year:
It takes a lot of time and effort to keep this website running and
updated. Unfortunately I didn't have the energy at the start of the
year, and I took a rest from most updating.
In the past most of my new readers came from Tumblr. When explicit
photos were banned the numbers looking at my Tumblr faded, and as a
result the number of people reading the website has declined
significantly.
Part of my lack of inspiration at the start of the year was due to few reading the website.
Hopefully this year I will find another way to attract new readers.
