What's
New - 2019
Version
2 of the Devotional Sex website
November 27 - New beginnings for a 30 year marriage!
Edsubmissive from Canada has shared in the forum how he introduced Devotional Sex to his wife.
After 30 years of marriage he wrote that "our relationship
has suffered, to the point that we were pretty much leading separate
lives under one roof."
Two months later he writes "We continue to be overjoyed with our new
found relationship as it seems to both of us that we have a new
deep-felt connection that was lacking before."
And their sex life is amazing as well :)
You can read all about his journey here at the forum.
November 23 - Two new chapters of the Devotional Sex Novel are published:
Chapter 44 was published 3 days ago, and Chapter 45 is published today.
If new to Devotional
Sex for Loving Couples - a Novel you can either start at the Foreword or jump straight to Chapter 1.
August 2 - A secret password is now needed to register for the forum:
Unfortunately every few years the forum is attacked by Russian spammers. This time they are being very persistent (see this forum post), and so, for now, to register for the forum you need the secret password.
So from now on the first step to joining the forum is to email me at devotionalsex@gmail.com
with subject FORUM and telling me why you are interested in Devotional
Sex. Note that the aim is to prove that you have done some reading and
are not a spammer. So just a few words won't do. What you write in the
email is confidential and will NOT be published on the forum.
If I think you are legitimate I'll then reply with the secret password and you can then fill out the registration page.
Note for spammers: Once a password is used I'll change it. And posts by new members are not published until I approve them.
It would be great to have more people active at the forum, so I hope genuine readers are not put off by this added level of authentication.
July 23 - Affection before and after DevS survey - more responses needed!
I had forgotten to add this survey to the page listing all the Devotional Sex Surveys. This explains why I'm not receiving many results. The Affection survey is not included on that page.
This
survey looks at affectionate activities - holding hands, cuddling in
bed, cuddling outside the bedroom, giving massages, passionate kissing,
and him kissing her body. It asks how often each is done both before
starting Devotional Sex and after.
It then asks how important these activities are compared to the sexual pleasures of Devotional Sex.
And finally it looks at some sexual activities and asks what balance there is between these being sexual and affectionate.
I've only got 13 responses so far. These show that for most the amount
of affection increases significantly, and that this has very
significantly benefited the whole relationship. It also found that for
most couples him giving her oral sex is just as much about affection as
it is a sexual pleasure.
If I can get a
few more replies I'll write up a more detailed summary of the results.
So if you practice DevS it would be wonderful if you did this survey here at PollMill.
July 22 - Oral Sex Survey - have I heard from you?
If you practice Devotional Sex, and have not already done so, it would be wonderful if you could fill in my Oral Sex within Devotional Sex survey, which is here at PollMill.
Finding out what happens in real-life Devotional Sex helps me write a
better website. And as well as letting me know what most Devotee
couples do, the survey results show me the huge variation as each
couple discover what works best for them.
Many couples are practicing Devotional Sex, but few donate
or post in the forum. So receiving a survey response is the main way I
find out that all my hard work in writing this website is making a
difference to people's lives.
And if you have already done the Oral Sex Survey, it would be great if
filled in any other survey you have not yet done. See the page on Devotional Sex Surveys.
July 19 - A tattoo of the Devotional Sex logo:
A
Princess has just got a tattoo of the Devotional Sex logo, and has been
kind enough to send me a photo with permission to publish it. You can
see the photo here on the forum.
June 23 - Tease & Denial compared to Devotional Sex:
In this new topic on the forum a man who has long been practicing "this type of relationship" says that though it always starts out well,
"consistently,
though, I found that it didn't take too long for apathy to show up on
the part of the women. Keeping me in need diminished to just ignoring
me sexually, rather than actively enticing, teasing, fondling, etc."
In reply I point out that what he was doing was more Femdom with Tease
and Denial than Devotional Sex, and such kinky play isn't something
most women wish to continue to do.
I then explain why Devotional Sex is very different from such kinky
play. This forum topic is worth a read if your partner isn't into mild
kinky sex.
June 3 - Four new chapters of the Devotional Sex Novel are published:
Chapter 33 is a new chapter inserted before the first version of this chapter,
Chapter 34 is the old Chapter 33, and
Chapters 35 to 37 are new.
June 2 - The Photo-Blog is back:
You can look at all of my old Tumblr Devotional Sex Photo-Blog at bdsmlr.com. See the Photo Blog page for how.
Even better, you can still view photos by category.
As the photo-blog has about 8,000 photos I'll not be posting anything
new. So the blog at bdsmlr is just an archive of what was on Tumblr.
To keep up-to-date with what's new with Devotional Sex please keep looking at this page or follow my new Devotional Sex Tumblr (which does not contain any explicit photos).
May 29 - Natural Female Desire has been updated:
What would female desire be like if the constraints of normal sexual behavior were removed?
Devotional Sex is like a scientific experiment which removes the
constraints to find out, and my surveys of couples who practice
Devotional Sex provide the data.
The results are surprising - and new to science!
I've just updated this page to make it clearer that just as important
as the increase in sexual activity is the increase in erotic cuddling
and her enjoying being desired by her partner.
May 28 - Revised chapter of the Devotional Sex Novel:
Scott says:
I was unhappy with Chapter 31 when I looked at it online - it was too much of a monologue. So I have rewritten it.
Please see the new version and let me know if you think it is better.
Click the link above to read the new version. And you can let Scott know what you think in this topic at the forum.
If you are new to the novel you can either start with The Foreword or jump straight into Chapter 1.
May 24 - What happens when he is with her and he is aroused and erect?
With Devotional Sex a Knight is very often erect and aroused when he is with his Princess. What happens during these times?
What percentage of activity do you think would be sexual activity?
You may be very surprised with the result which you can see in this topic at the forum.
May 24 - About Preferences has been updated:
A Preference is something she wants to always or usually happen - which he thinks of as a rule to always be followed.
I've updated this page with some new examples and better explanations.
May 21 - A new Tumblr
I've created a new Tumblr which is accessible to everyone. It's at the same URL as the old one -
My old Tumblr included explicit photos illustrating Devotional Sex in
action. But as Tumblr have now banned such photos my old Tumblr is now
very hard for most people to see.
This new Tumblr will be mainly text about Devotional Sex with a few photos which are mild enough to pass the Tumblr censors.
My hope is that some people discover Devotional Sex via this Tumblr.
May 20 - Comparing Before and After Devotional Sex Survey:
I
know lots about what couples do while practicing DevS from my other
surveys. But to know whether or not DevS has significantly changed
their lives I need to find out about what happened before and compare
it with what happens with DevS.
My
comparing before and after Devotional Sex Survey has only got 71
responses so far. So if you practice DevS have not filled this in
before, it would be wonderful if you could do it now. Click here to do this survey at PollMill.
May 28 update: I now have 75 responses.
May 19 - Articles about sex and what I would add about Devotional Sex:
There
are lots of articles about sex on the internet, and I tend to read
whatever I find to keep myself up-to-date with what people are saying
about sex.
Very often I read something and shout to myself "but Devotional Sex fixes that!" or similar. So I've created a new sub-forum where we can post links to articles, and write about how Devotional Sex relates to each article.
The first article I've posted about is in response to 'I wanted to explore my own pleasure' – how I rebooted my sex life' by Lucy-Anne Holmes published in the Guardian.
You can read my forum post about this here (which includes a link to the article).
May 19 - Why I've been quiet for many weeks:
Australia had a federal election
yesterday. I'm very passionate about politics (I was even a candidate
for federal parliament back in 2007) and so I've spent the last few
weeks heavily posting online doing my little bit to try to make a
difference.
This disrupted all of my life, and meant that I had no time to do any work on DevS.
I'm recovering today, and I hope to put in a huge burst of work on the website soon.
May 12 - SSL security has been turned on for this website and forum:
A
reader pointed out that some virus and malware protection packages were
warning that this website was unsafe. I'm pretty sure was that this is
because I had not turned SSL security on, so I've now done so. (You
will notice that each page is now https://.. and you should see the little lock sign showing that website is secure.)
I had enabled this a year ago, but my web host had had problems
automatically renewing the certificates, and when the certificate
wasn't renewed Chrome started giving warnings that the website was
dangerous. Hopefully they have fixed this problem and future
certificates will all be renewed on time.
April 29 - A blog post about Devotional Sex in French:
Eveilletajoie.fr
(Awaken Your Joy) is a blog in French which "deals with male sexuality,
and more particularly with the quest for pleasure, seen as a personal
way of awakening."
This has just published a post all about Devotional Sex (see HERE).
For those who don't speak French I found that the translate feature of
my Chrome browser does a pretty good job of translating most of his
blog into English. But, not surprisingly as DevS uses so many
words in a special way, the translation from English to French by
Benny, followed by the automated French to English of Google, is rather
different from the original.
Benny has written a good summary of DevS, and the article concludes
with the Opening Story which I'm sure comes across as even more erotic
in French. I hope his blog post inspires a few more French speaking
couples to explore Devotional Sex!
April 29 - A donation!
Though my surveys prove that many couples are enjoying Devotional
Sex, few donate. So whenever I receive a donation it is an unexpected
surprise.
Thus a big thank you to the reader who today donated US$100. You made my day :)
If his generosity inspires you, see my Please Donate page.
April 14 - DevS Orgasm Survey
I've just finished posting about 1oo survey responses (from 2016 until now) into this topic at the forum. So you can now read the raw results from 293 people!
Before I write up the results it would be wonderful to get a few more
responses (and to get the total to over 300). So if you sometimes
practice DevS, or you Live DevS, and you have not done this survey in the past, it would be great if you filled it in here at Poll Mill.
May 20 update
- I've now reached 322 replies. It's wonderful getting so many replies
as it proves to me that this website is inspiring couples to practice
DevS.!
April 10 - Discussion about DevS at Mazmo.net (in spanish)
Today I discovered that Devotional Sex has been discussed at
Mazmo.net, which is a free BDSM website in Spanish (mainly from
Argentina). I read this using the translation provided by my Chrome
browser.
The topic at https://mazmo.net/forums/femdom/devotional-sex
has a good introduction to DevS, and the following discussion ranges
from saying that kink can easily be added to recognizing the
significant tantric component of DevS.
If I could write in spanish I would post that the most popular key
benefit for women is the increase in intimacy and connection, and how
this is felt by both with the many Devotional Cuddles after sexual
activity. I might also add how most Devotee couples enjoy Affirmation,
and this differs from CFNM in BDSM as a Knight is proud to be her
Knight (ie it's not about humiliation).
Now that I can't gain new readers from Tumblr, people posting about
DevS in forums or on social media is a great way you can help me spread
the word about DevS.
April 6 - Your Progress with Devotional Sex Survey
I have justed updated the Key Results for this survey.
What I found most interesting were the figures for who was most keen to
first explore Devotional Sex compared to who was most keen to start
Living Devotional Sex.
I've also updated the page presenting the comments about Devotional Sex from those who filled in this survey.
My main reward for writing this website is knowing that I am
changing people's lives for the better.
So if you have recently made a step forward in your exploration of Devotional Sex, please fill out the survey here at PollMill. The survey is anonymous and is quick and easy to fill in.
The more replies I get the more enthusiasm I'll have for writing new sections of this website!
April 4 - Four new chapters of the novel are published:
On December 15 last year Chapter 30 of Devotional
Sex for Loving Couples - a Novel was published.
Today I've published Chapters 31 to 33.
If new to this novel you can start at Chapter 1.
If you have already read some chapters, but not yet finished reading up to Chapter 29, then see The Contents and you will be able to pick up where you left off.
January to March - A slow start to the year
Unfortunately
I have started 2019 with a few medical issues. A side effect of these
is that I lost inspiration and have not done much work on the website.
When I did manage to do some work I was writing the 6 page Overview of Devotional Sex for HIM.
Though much has been written, I can't publish any of it until it is
completed, and so the work I have done has not yet resulted in any
updates to the website.
Another reason for lack of inspiration as been a fall in
readership of this website and thus a lack of feedback from readers -
fewer posts in the forum, fewer survey responses, etc.
The reason for the drop in readership is that most of my new readers
discovered this website from the Photo Blog I ran on Tumblr. So when
late last years Tumblr decided to ban adult content my main source of
new readers was gone.
Hopefully I'll find a new way to attract lots of new readers in 2019.
January - Two significant donations:
In January I received two significant donations - one for $100 US dollars and one for $100 Australian dollars.
Though many couples benefit from Devotional Sex, very few donate. So
even getting a small donation gives me a boost. Thus these two
significant donations was really great. And thanks to these two
donations this year will be the first where donations will cover my
website hosting costs.
If you wish to support my work, and help me keep this website free and without any advertising, please consider making a donation.
