What's New - 2018

Version 2 of the Devotional Sex website

In 2017 I started to build a new website.
This page documents it's progress during 2018.

Go to What's New 2019

Jump down to the first update in January 2018.

December 26 - Is Knight Lending new?

Knight Lending is when a Princess lends her Knight to another woman and her Knight fulfills that womans wishes within what he is willing to do and within what his Princess has allowed to happen.

Yesterday I had the realization that I have never heard of anyone writing about a similar dynamic. Perhaps Knight Lending is something totally new.

I've written a forum post going into more detail, and I look forward to any comments or questions.

December 18 -  My Photo-Blog on Tumblr is no more:

On December 4, 2018, Tumblr announced that from December 17 they would no longer allow adult content. This ban has now come into effect and my Devotional Sex Photo Blog is no longer online.

There is a possibility that I'll be able to republish my old Tumblr on a new website, or I may start a new photo-blog at another website.

If a new Devotional Sex photo-blog happens I'll announce it on this page.

Note that I don't want to publish any explicit photos on this website - that may lead to the website being blocked and some readers don't want to visit a website with such adult content.

December 15 -  Two new chapters of the novel are published:

Chapters 28 and 29 of  Devotional Sex for Loving Couples -  a Novel  have been published.

If new to this novel you can start at  Chapter 1.

If you have already read some chapters, but not yet finished reading up to Chapter 27, then see The Contents and you will be able to pick up where you left off.

Apologies for the long gap between these new chapters and the previous update. This was party due to my working hard to creat a backup of my Tumblr photo-blog and my drafts folder.

Hopefully one or two new chapters will now be posted about every week.

October 17 -  Adult Sex Toys and how to support this website:

Adult sex toys are a great way to enhance Devotional Sex. I'm planning to soon publish some reviews of toys which I think work very well within the dynamic.

This website is free and contains no advertising. But the website costs money to run and it would be nice to get some financial reward for my work. Though many couples are now practicing Devotional Sex, very few have made a donation.

So I'm trying something new - I've just added some affiliate links to Amazon in the USA, Canada, Germany, UK, and Australia which take you directly to Amazon's 'Sexual Wellness' products for your country.

Buying anything via my link costs you no more, but earns me a small commission. In fact buying ANY product on the Amazon website when you go via my link gives me a small commission. So I hope a few readers will show their support for this website (and my Tumblr) by using my links.

October 17 -
Please support this website:

After creating the Adult Sex Toy page I've added a new high level page on the many ways you can support this website, and this includes links to the home page of Amazon USA, Canada, Germany, UK, and Australia.

You can easily access this page as the link is near the very top of the Site Map.

And if you are wondering why I've used this strange ordering of countries, it's because this is the order of countries by number of visitors to my website.

October 6 -  Photos by Category:

Update - December 17 - As Tumblr no longer allows adult content you can no longer see the photos by category. So the links in this post have been disabled.

For those who view the Photo-Blog on Tumblr, and like to look at all the photos in a particular category, I've done three things:

All the tags have been updated so each category has a years worth of new photos!

You can now also view the photos in each category with the oldest photo first.

And I've added two new categories: (the two links below go to my Photo-Blog)

October 6 -  The old website is no longer seen by search engines:

The old version of the website is now very out-of-date. So I've changed my robots.txt file so that Google and other search engines will not view the old version.

So from now on the search engines will only see the new version of the website (ie pages like devotionalsex.com/n/introduction.html) and the forum.

September 28 -   Expired SSL certificate - hence PRIVACY WARNING.

Today the SSL certificate for my website and forum expired for an unknown reason. This means that those who visit my website using Google's Chrome browser see a warning page put up by Google saying:

Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from devotionalsex.com (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards).
NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID

As the website is not asking for any information from you it is still totally safe to browse.

October 3 - for five days I've been trying to get my hosting service, iPower, to fix this. I am now VERY frustrated with them, and hope things return to normal soon!

October 4 - A new SSL certificate has finally been created. But as I can't be sure that this will renew correctly in 90 days I'm leaving the http:// traffic as unsecured.

September 27 -   Forum topics on Sexual Problems & Difficulties

I've just published the raw survey responses to my Sexual Problems Survey into the forum.

Note that there is no identification of the poster other than their age ie I've not even included the country. (PollMill tell me the country and sometimes city for each return, but that is all I get told other than the results of the survey.)

I've also created a forum topic for discussion about any individual response.

The sticky topic at the top is for General Discussion (including requests for more information, etc).

I have a spreadsheet of the response results and I'm giving 2 points for every HIGH and 1 point for every MEDIUM response to each problem.

In the new sub-forum on Sexual Problems and Difficulties I've created a topic for discussing every problem which has received 6 or more points, and as I get more response I'll add more topics as each problem gets to 6 points.

Of course my next task is to start to write some of the webpages about each problem!

September 23 - Solving Sexual Problems and Difficulties

I've just published this new page saying how Devotional Sex may be a big help for couples suffering from sexual problems or difficulties.

This includes a page on How Common Are Sexual Difficulties? based on a very large, scientifically valid, Australian survey which found that sexual problems were surprisingly common.

There is also a page presenting the List of Problems.

Note that I've published all these pages before I've written a page for any of the problems in the list. This is so I can ask those reading this website and my Tumblr what problem they would like me to write about first.

I've created a Sexual Problems Survey at PollMill so that readers can let me know which problems they would like me to write about soon, suggest other problems to add to the list, tell me more about their situation so that I can include this in my writeup, and share any solutions which have worked for them.

September 21 - Minor changes to the website look:

I've finally worked out how to get an icon in the tab for this website (a challenge to do the first time, but it would be trivial to do a second time.) The red circle is a very small version of the  picture at the Welcome Page.

And I've worked out how to shrink the top graphic when the window size gets smaller. Unfortunately this requires inserting some HTML code into ever page, so it will take some time to get all the pages updated.

September 19 - The Forum is now mobile friendly!

I have finally worked out how to make the forum mobile friendly! Hopefully this will now work, and you will get the mobile version if you are using a mobile.

At the bottom of each forum page you have the option to change to the other version - so those on tablets can switch to see which version they like best.

To see the latest forum posts click here.

September 19 - Google are about to start mobile first indexing for this site:

Google have just told me that:

Mobile-first indexing means that Googlebot will now use the mobile version of your site for indexing and ranking, to better help our (primarily mobile) users find what they're looking for. Google’s crawling, indexing, and ranking systems have historically used the desktop version of your site's content, which can cause issues for mobile searchers when the desktop version differs from the mobile version. Our analysis indicates that the mobile and desktop versions of your site are comparable.

September 15 YouTube Video Promoting Devotional Sex:

Forum member Kev1959 has created a three minute video to promote DevS and posted it onto YouTube. Click the above link to go to YouTube to view it.

If you like the video please 'like' it on YouTube and share it with anyone who you think might be interested. And feel free to post a comment at YouTube sharing Kev1959's enthusiasm.

For discussion amongst those already reading this website I've created this topic on the forum. I'm sure that Kev1959 is eager to hear what you think.

September 5 Intimacy and Affection

This new page now follows 'Natural Female Desire' as part of my 'What is Devotional Sex?' page.

It looks at the importance of romantic affection, erotic intimacy, and more connected sex to a couples overall experience of Devotional Sex.

September 3 - How DevS is very different from most other sex advice:

This new page (hopefully) explains why I believe DevS is very different from most other books, websites, courses and workshops about sex and relationships.

As this is a difficult concept to get across I very much welcome any feedback from those who are already practicing DevS. You can do so at this topic on my forum.

August 22 Devotional Sex for Loving Couples - A Novel

An instructional erotic novel on using Devotional Sex to reignite and then maintain intimacy and passion in your relationship.

Today I've published the first ten chapters of Scott Chapman's new book. Additional chapters will be added as they are completed. You can start at either the

Foreword         Contents     or    Chapter 1

August 28 -  Chapter 11 to 13 are published

September 12 -
Chapter 14 to 18 are published

September 25 - Chapter 19 is published

October 3 - Chapter 20 is published

October 10 - Chapter 21 and 22 are published

October 16 - Chapter 23 and 24 are published

November 17 - Chapter 25 to 27 are published

December 15 - Chapter 28  and 29 are published

I've also created a new top level page - Fiction illustrating DevS - which is where this novel and other fictional stories can be found.

August 19 Affection before and after DevS survey - more responses needed!

I've only got 10 responses to this new survey so far. But the trend is clear and the results are so amazing that I'm soon going to write a page presenting the preliminary results.

But it would be great to get a few more replies before I do this. So if you practice DevS it would be wonderful if you fill in this survey now or very soon. It's also a great survey to fill in with your partner.

You can do this new survey here at PollMill.

August 18 - I've updated the Definition of Devotional Sex:

I've deleted the reference to intimacy in P1 and P2, and changed P3 from she commits to "always respect his arousal" to "always respect his arousal and to use this to increase and maintain intimacy".

The reason for this change is because the increased intimacy is the 'devotional' part of the name of the technique. Thus 'pure' DevS leads to both an enhanced sexual life and an enhanced intimate life (all without any kink / BDSM).

If a couple has her control when he ejaculates and they both enjoy her making him feel frustrated and submissive - so the focus is on this kinky dynamic - then the couple are far closer to female domination / BDSM than Devotional Sex. I think the change in definition makes clear that such a kinky couple are no longer doing pure DevS.

Couples are free to practice any mix of DevS and BDSM they wish. So the change in definition isn't about stopping couples from doing what works best for them, but to make clear that the intimacy is needed to provide the 'devotional' to Devotional Sex.

August 17 What is Devotional Sex?

This used to be the end section of the Introduction page. I've now split this into two pages.

August 17
- A new additional Opening Story:

I'm working at expanding the Opening Story from just one day into seven very different days.

I've revised the old Opening Story - A Sexually Active Day to fit this new scheme.

And I've just published a totally new Opening Story - Just a morning cuddle and at bedtime just her playing with him and talking which presents a very different day from the first.

Stay tuned for the other five new Opening Stories (they are all mapped out and some are already partly written).

PS: With all these changes, if you spot any editorial errors or some links don't work, please let me know here.

August 15
- A donation!!

Though many read my website, and lots of couples practice Devotional Sex, very few people show their support by making a donation. In fact I get so few that I pay more each year in website hosting costs than I get from donations.

So it was very pleasing, and a lovely surprise, to get a US$50 donation today.

Any amount is welcome - see here for how to donate.

August 1
- This website (and forum) now has SSL security:

With SSL security and you will see that the URL now automatically changes to https://devotionalsex.com (and if you use Chrome as your browser you will see that it is a Secure Green).

July 31 Raw Survey Results for the Oral Sex within DevS Survey:

I read every survey response as soon as I receive it. But I don't post the raw survey response into the forum until I enter the results of that response into my now rather large spreadsheet.

I've just spent a week entering 81 responses, the first received way back in March 2017, and going all they way up to survey response 299 which I received today.

To see the Oral Sex within DevS from the very beginning click HERE.

To see the responses from March 2017 until now click HERE.

And to see the responses from July 27, 2018, which is the first response to Version 3 of the survey, click HERE.

And if you practice DevS, and have not yet filled in the Oral Sex survey, you can do the survey here on PollMill.

Over time I'll write up the results based on my analysis of the figures in my spreadsheet.

July 23 New Reader Survey on Affection for those not doing DevS:

Part of the survey on Affection within Devotional Sex (see July 21 below) is finding out what happened before the couple did Devotional Sex.

To find out more about who is reading this website and my Photo Blog I thought it would be interesting to find out what is happening with Affection for those not (yet) doing Devotional Sex. So I've created two new surveys:

Affection in your relationship (click the link to do this survey on PollMill) is for readers in a relationship but not doing Devotional Sex. I also ask about their interest in exploring Devotional Sex in the future.

You can see the raw survey responses here in my forum.

Affection Survey for those who are single (click the link to do this survey on PollMill) is for readers who are currently single. The questions about affection are answered for 80% of the way through a previous relationship.

This survey also asks about their interest in using Devotional Sex in their next relationship.

You can see the raw survey responses to this survey here in my forum.

A great way of letting me know that you enjoy reading this website and/or my Photo Blog on Tumblr is to fill out one of these three surveys.

If not yet doing Devotional Sex fill out the survey above depending on whether you are single or in a relationship. And if you are practicing Devotional Sex please do the survey below.

I look forward to hearing from you!

July 21 New Survey on 'Affection within Devotional Sex'

A friend asked me how often those in an established relationship passionately kiss? Not only do I have no idea of what happens in ‘normal’ relationships, I have no idea of what happens in most Devotional Sex relationships.

So I’ve created a new survey to look at not just passionate kissing, but holding hands, cuddling, and massages. If you do Devotional Sex you can be one of the very first to do this brand new survey.

CLICK HERE to do the Affection in DevS survey on PollMill.

Note that as the survey is brand new I welcome any feedback as to how I can make it better. For example, is there a form of affection that I’ve missed out? You can provide feedback at the 2nd last question of the survey.

Update - July 22 - You can now see the raw survey responses for the Affection Survey here in the forum.

I also welcome any discussion or comments about this new survey and the results. You can do so in this new forum topic.

July 20 - Updated 'Oral Sex within Devotional Sex' Survey:

I've just done another update to the Oral Sex Survey. The changes include allowing multiple answers to some of the questions and adding some new questions to find out which rooms people do their Pleasure Kissing in, and whether the couple have ever done a Pleasure Kiss outside.

If you practice Devotional Sex and have not done an earlier version of this survey then now is a great time to do this survey! Just Click Here.

June 18 - New Survey - 'What Happens During DevS':

I’ve just created a brand new survey at PollMill to find out what happens each week with couples who either Live Devotional Sex (ie always practice it) or usually do  it (ie do it most of the time but not always).

If you can make a reasonable guess of the number of minutes you spend each week doing each Devotional activity it won’t take very long to fill in.

CLICK HERE to do this new survey.  I very much look forward to getting more respones.

Update - June 19 - You can now see the raw survey results in this forum topic.

As more responses come in I'll add them to this topic.

May 28 - New visitors to the site from literotica.com

On Friday 25 May, 2018, I started to get a big bust or new readers, all coming via a search on google. Thanks to mx-avg on Tumblr and 'Google helper' I found out that a story had just been published at literotica.com talking about discovering this website.

I've written a new page - Literotica Stories - explaining how stories on literotica.com which mention 'Devotional Sex' actually relate to real Devotional Sex, and directing those who have just read such a story to pages on this website which are relevant to what they have just read.

At the moment just the story published on 25 May is included, but as I find more stories at literotica.com which talk about Devotional Sex I'll add them to this page.

As most of the new readers to the website are now arriving (via a google search) from literotica, I've added a link to this page to the Welcome Page.

May 28 - Devotional Sex is of interest!

Of course it is wonderful to get hundreds of new visitors (from the literotica.com story mentioned above). But if most of these new visitors only looked at the Welcome Page or just this and a few more pages and then disappear, Devotional Sex will remain a very niche technique.

So I was absolutely delighted to find that the bounce rate for these new visitors (ie those who look at the Welcome Page and then immediately go to another website) was only 30%.

And lots of the remaining 70% of new visitors are looking at many pages of the website, and some are already returning to read more! I think it is very likely that a few of these new readers will go on to explore Devotional Sex with their partner, and some of these will continue to practice it.

So, if I manage to complete more of this website and one day manage to attract many more visitors, Devotional Sex really does have the potential to improve the lives of many thousands of couples!

And a warm welcome to the new readers!

Please feel free to introduce yourself at The Forum and to comment and ask questions there.

And if you don't want to join the forum you can still anonymously contribute by using this page on PollMill.

May 11
- Welcome Page

I've made a format change to the top of the Welcome Page (devotionalsex.com) so that Google now thinks it is is mobile friendly.

I've also added some 'small print' at the bottom of the page to point out that this website uses Google Analytics (ie Cookies) and to say that using this website is giving your approval for this (unless you use an ad blocker which usually blocks Google Analytics as well as ads).

May 10 - "Stay Chaste" - a new Wish Word:

When alone, whenever he plays with himself this will always be done over the fabric of his underpants.

The default for Devotional Sex is that when alone a Knight can play with himself whenever he wishes as long as he does not ejaculate. Some Devotee couples have set that he never plays with himself when alone (see the Abstain Wish Word).

This new option is something in between - he still plays with himself whenever he wishes but the skin of his hand never sexually touches the skin of his Desire or balls.

When the only sexual skin-on-skin touching is when with his Princess he craves her touch even more, and this makes even just a Devotional Cuddle feel much more special.

This is all explained in much more detail on the page about the Stay Chaste Wish Word.

May 9
- "Abstain" - a newish Wish Word:

When his Princess says this her Kngiht will abstain from playing with himself including not touching himself over clothing.

This is an update of the old Wish Word "be Chaste". I've changed the name as I've thought of something new which I think is better suited to "be Chaste". Stay tuned for this old Wish Word being used for something new to Devotional Sex.

May 8 - Glossary of Wishes - Reformatted:

I've reformatted this page so it is now easier to read on a mobile phone screen.

May 4 - Updated Oral Sex within Devotional Sex Survey:

I've just updated some of the questions, and added a few new questions, to my Oral Sex Survey.

If you practice Devotional Sex and have not yet done this survey then now is a great time to do so!

But if you have already filled in this survey please DO NOT DO IT AGAIN - my statistics will be wrong if there are multiple replies from the same couple.

Click here to do the Oral Sex within DevS Survey.

April 15 - Updated Affirmation Survey:

I've just updated some of the questions, and added a few new questions, to my Affirmation Survey.

If you practice Devotional Sex and have not yet done this survey then now is a great time to do so!

But if you have already filled in this survey please DO NOT DO IT AGAIN - my statistics will be wrong if there are multiple replies from the same couple.

Clicke here to do the Affirmation Survey.

April 15 - New section in the forum for posting FICTION about DevS:

I’ve added a new section to the forum where people can post fiction written to illustrate Devotional Sex.

Note that as I’ve just created this section there are not yet any stories.

But there is a post  ’about this new section for posting fiction’ which tells you what I’m after and how to post.

February 5 - The Private Symbol of him being her Knight

The optional private symbol of him being her Knight is for him to keep his pubic hair clean-shaven.

This not only creates a Devotional Sex 'look', but is a visual reminder that he has committed to only ever ejaculate when with his Princess and when she decides.

This new page for Version 2 of the website is a much improved version of the page which was in the old website. I hope this new page inspires a few more couples to use this private symbol.

February 4 - A donation!

Though hundreds of couples are practicing Devotional Sex, and many people visit my website each day, almost everyone takes my work being available for free for granted.

So I'm always delighted when I get a donation, and today an Italian couple who have just started to explore Devotional Sex have donated US$35.

This is a big help in covering my website hosting costs, but only goes a part of the way. So I hope one couple's generosity inspires a few more to make a donation.

February 3 - Living with Children

Practicing Devotional Sex when living with children obviously creates some challenges and limits what can be done.

This new page gives advice on how to deal with these everyday challenges, and how to get the most out of your Devotional Sex lifestyle despite the restrictions.

January 25 - An article and interview about Devotional Sex:

The Hands Free Orgasm website has just published a short article about Devotional Sex which includes an email interview with yours truly.

Click the above link to read this wonderful article!
(Just click “No Thanks” to the sign up page to go straight to the article.)

The man learning to orgasm without ejaculating is an optional enhancement to Devotional Sex.

As my path to learning this was the Taoist Multi-Orgasmic Man technique I’ve not yet mentioned on my website other techniques which can work equally well within Devotional Sex.

The Hands Free Orgasm website (http://handsfreeorgasm.net/blog/) has a good overview of other ways a man can learn to have multiple orgasms without touching his erection and without ejaculating. I know that there are Devotees who use the prostate massage technique, so for the interested and curious this is well worth exploring.

(You need to provide an email address to access the lessons, but as this is just an information website you won’t get bombarded with marketing for products.)

Happy Exploring!

January 24 - The Devotee Ring

The optional public symbol of being a Devotee is a gold ring with a red garnet stone which is worn on the little finger of the left hand. This page tells you when it can be worn, and a lower level page includes some photos of two male Devotee rings.

These new pages are an edited version of the old pages from Version 1 of the website.

January 20 - Jill29's Devotional Sex Diary and Survey Results

For seven days in early 2017 Jill posted a Devotional Sex diary into the forum sharing with us everything that happened in the first week of one of her Seasons of Devotional Sex. Today I've posted an edited - and easier to read - version of this into the website.

She and her partner also filled out four of my Devotional Sex Surveys giving us an overview of their DevS life. I've put all of this extra information onto a new page (which is here).

Jill's diary is highly recommended as it gives the female view of a wonderful week of real-life DevS.

January 14 - The real-life story of Ada and Michael's first date

This is an amazing success for both Ada and Michael. It shows that when an experienced Knight dates a vanilla women it can lead to some amazing Devotional Sex - even on a first date. If this story were fiction if might feel unrealistic - so this is a case where truth is stranger (and lots more fun) than fiction. (5 pages)

This is an edited version of the story previously published on the old version of the website.

January 14 - Real-Life Devotional Sex Stories

This new top-level page is where I'll put all the real-life stories and diaries.

January 4 - Natural Female Desire - The DevS Experiment:

This new page asks What would female desire be like if the constraints of normal sexual behavior were removed? and goes on to show how Devotional Sex is like a scientific experiment to find out.
