The story is close enough to Devotional Sex (as described on this website) to clearly be inspired by this website and/or my Photo Blog on Tumblr, but it also misses out on some key parts of the technique.

The story correctly shows that with Devotional Sex it is the man's decision not to ejaculate as often, that when sex ends without him ejaculating that - with the help of his Princess gently holding his erection - a Knight can direct his energy into intense intimacy and connection, and that his built up erotic energy can lead to renewed intimacy with his wife.

Directing his erotic energy into intimacy and connection - which I call Exaltation - is something that I think most men will take a some time and practice to achieve. So I felt it was unrealistic that in the story this happens so easily.

The key component of Devotional Sex missing from the story is that a Knight gives his Princess control over what happens. In this story it seems that his wife doesn't know what is happening.

Devotional Sex is like riding a tandem bicycle - you are either both riding the bike or you are not riding it. Thus his wife playing her role is an important part of the dynamic.

Chapter 2 is a little better, but her control is so subtle that it still feels like him working to please her rather than her deciding what happens.

A Princess playing with her Knight as they watch TV is something that many Devotee couples do, but it felt very unrealistic to me to have them in bed, having sex with her having an orgasm, and then getting up to watch a show and to have her play with him during this. 

So I think it would have been better to have her playing with him while watching a show as something that happened on another day. And though her playing with him while watching TV in real-life Devotional Sex will sometimes lead to more sexual activity when they go to bed, the reality of Devotional Sex is best illustrated by those times when after playing with him in the living room all that happens when they go to bed is a cuddle.
 
 
So far the story doesn't mention that there is a Devotional Sex website, so it isn't inspiring anyone to google 'Devotional Sex' and thus find this website. Thus, for me, it is a pity that this story has got the title 'Devotional Sex' .

What's great about Devotional Sex as presented at this website is that Devotional Sex is a practical technique which will make a huge difference to the sexual, sensual, and intimate live of any couple prepared to put the effort in. It's not 'mumbo jumbo' but something which really works!
